Alumni Spotlight: Priya Kapoor Named Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia

Feb 14, 2026

DPS alumna Priya Kapoor (Batch 2016) has been named to Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia for her work in climate-tech. We sat down with her to find out what drives her.

When Priya Kapoor walked out of DPS in 2016 with her Class XII certificate, she had no idea she would one day appear on one of the world's most prestigious young achiever lists. Today, as the co-founder of GreenGrid Technologies, she is doing exactly that.

The DPS Years

"DPS gave me two things that shaped everything after: a love for problem-solving and the confidence to disagree respectfully," Priya says. Her chemistry teacher, Ms. Rekha Sinha, is the person she credits most for sparking her interest in clean energy.

The Road to Forbes

After graduating from IIT Delhi in 2020, Priya spent two years at McKinsey before launching GreenGrid — a platform that helps small and medium manufacturers reduce energy costs through AI-driven optimisation. The company has raised ₹42 crore in Series A funding and operates across six states.

Her Advice to DPS Students

"Don't wait until you have the perfect plan. Start with the problem you care about most. Everything else — the team, the funding, the business model — figures itself out when the problem is real enough."

Priya will be the keynote speaker at this year's Annual Alumni Meet. Register now to secure your seat.
